Hello again! This month the 6 Figure Interview is with Janey Holliday, one of the UK’s leading fitness trainers and health writers. Janey creates a truly remarkable experience through her business Fit for a Princess. The Power of 5 is a process I started using a number of years ago to get constant referrals from doctors, allied health professionals and local businesses. Let us know how it works for your business. The Sydney Business Master Class kicked off last week, thank you to all the super keen participants who enrolled in this program and we will be updating you of their success stories over the next few months. Business Tip: The Power of 5

The latest statistics indicate approximately 1.6 million Australians have gym memberships, or less than 8% of the total population. That leaves 92% of the population who don’t go to gyms. So it would make good sense to have sales and marketing strategies aimed directly at the other 92% as well. And that’s where the ‘Power of 5’ comes into play.

Now it’s time to get busy. Grab a blank sheet of paper and make a list of the following 5 industry segments:

1. allied health professionals

2. beauty industry

3. retail industry

4. weekend warriors

5. local community

Then refer to the specific lists below and look at your potential list of referral partners grow and grow and grow. Who do you already know that you can add to your target list?

Update: Sydney Business Master Class

Day 1 of the Sydney BMC was run on Friday 1st September and we ploughed through loads of information, specifically focussed on getting to a $10K month - every month. A massive thankyou to the 26 people who enrolled for Sydney BMC – we really appreciate your support! A number of people have contacted the office asking when we are running another Sydney BMC and at this stage it won’t be until mid 2007.

We’ll keep you updated though out the 90 day program on some of the success stories and results. The following comments came though last week:

I have taken your advice and approached a few other health care professionals in my area. The response was amazing, very positive. This is a copy of the course that I have set up in conjunction with my chiropractor. I have more on the way and have to thank you for providing us with so much great information last week. Todd

First of all I would like to thank you for the class last Friday, I got so much out of it and am so excited about work because of it. I really appreciate your support and will remember it always in my future success. I’m also really looking forward to joining your private mentoring program when BMC finishes. Amy

Hi Andrew, hope all is going well. I was up working at 2 am last Saturday morning. After the master class it’s like my brain was on speed! Aaagghh… I have so many great ideas. See you next time :) Steph

Hi Andrew, the first day of the BMC was great. I thought it was very informative and good fun, I'm glad I have enrolled, I think it is exactly what I'm looking for and something that gets me organised with direction. I'm now working on the home work and will forward that on as soon as completed. Have a great weekend! Danny

Wow Andrew, I hope this finds you in good spirits. I started work on my marketing pdf’s first thing yesterday. So far I have the templates for the 4 strands of my business and have also started my first topic for a corporate speaking assignment. My head hasn’t stopped churning over since I walked out of that room on Friday. It was the rocket under my seat that I needed. Scott
